The APARS association aims to enrich and enable the professional lives of people involved in the regulation of agricultural innovations, through new ideas, educational opportunities, and peer-group activities.

The Regulation of Agvet Chemicals and Technologies (RACT) international conference in February 2020 identified the desire for a regulatory science association that would foster networks and enhance capacity building, through activities including promotion of regulatory science as a career option. An interim steering committee is working to establish the proposed Asia Pacific Association for Regulatory Science (APARS). APARS is a non-profit organisation.

Scope

The Asia Pacific Association for Regulatory Science (APARS) scope is to enrich and enable the professional lives of people involved in the regulation of agricultural innovations, through new ideas, educational opportunities, and peer-group activities. APARS will provide opportunities for regulatory professionals to participate in improving the quality of agricultural regulation (viz, effective control of risk, reduced transaction costs, production improvement, industry and technical development, and improved competitiveness).
